Meet Your Guest Bloggers and Twitter Hosts

Your Great Ideas Bloggers: With so many speakers, Idea Labs, and opportunities at the Great Ideas conference, no one person can collect all of the ideas and insights that will be shared there—so ASAE & The Center’s blog Acronym has assembled a team to bring the ideas to you. A team of thoughtful guest bloggers and two of our regular staff bloggers will be blogging live from Miami throughout the conference.

Maggie McGary: Maggie is an assistant content developer at the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, the professional, scientific, and credentialing association for speech-language pathologists, audiologists, and speech, language, and hearing scientists. Maggie is a long-time blogger herself (although this is her first time blogging on Acronym specifically).

Kristin Witters: Kristin is manager of member services at the National Association of College and University Business Officers, which serves a membership of more than 2,500 colleges, universities, and higher education service providers across the country.

Steven Stout: Steven is director of meetings and special events for the Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals in Austin, Texas. HFTP is the global professional association for financial and technology personnel working in hotels, clubs, and other hospitality-related businesses.

Matthew D’Uva: Matthew is CEO of SOCAP International, which represents the global professional of customer care experts across all industries.

Scott Briscoe: Scott is a founding blogger on Acronym and former editor-in-chief of Associations Now, ASAE & The Center’s monthly magazine. In his new role at ASAE & The Center, Scott focuses on the development and cultivation of content through new media channels like blogging, Twitter, video, and more.

Lisa Junker: Lisa is a regular staff blogger on Acronym as well as editor-in-chief of Associations Now.

Your Staff Twitter Hosts: To help you get the most out of your Great Ideas experience, three staff members will be twittering throughout the conference. We wanted to introduce you to those staff members and give you a sense of the perspectives they’ll be representing. We anticipate that quite a few attendees will be twittering as well, so be sure to check out all updates using #Ideas09.

Esther Turner: Esther is the marketing manager for the Great Ideas Conference and will be on site in the bookstore throughout the conference. She’ll be updating us on new groups created around the conference as well as other marketing and communications related updates. She’s a dynamo that will keep you in the know.

Peter Hutchins: Peter will be leading the twitter charge related to content and knowledge resources. Peter’s years of experience with online efforts and as editor of the Journal of Association Leadership, combined with his current role producing new media, will make sure you get the inside scoop on the knowledge resources from Great Ideas

Megan Denhardt: Megan is our twitter representative from CenterU. She’ll keep you up to date on any room changes, behind the scenes session information, and more.
