Are there airfare discounts?
Yes, we’ve worked hard to bring you cost saving options to get you to Great Ideas. You can purchase a discounted flight through ASAE & The Center’s official travel agency, ATC and also with Northwest/Delta, United and American Airlines. Click here for more details.

Do I need to pre-register for sessions?
No, sessions are on a first come first serve basis. However, please email Mark Milroy at mmilroy@asaecenter.org if you plan to attend the CAE 50th Anniversary Exclusive Leadership Program.

How do I get from the airport to the hotel?
Round-trip shuttle service is available to and from the Colorado Springs Airport and The Broadmoor. Check in at The Broadmoor Welcome Desk, conveniently located in the baggage claim area or notify our Reservations Department when your flight plans are finalized. $35 round trip per person, children 15 and under ride free with a paying adult (from Colorado Springs Airport). Car Rental
Hertz Rental is the official car rental agency for The Broadmoor. Hertz has rental locations at the Denver International Airport and Colorado Springs Airport. For rental discounts call Hertz at 800-654-2240 and provide the agent with the following promotion code: CV#031C0014.

Parking at The Broadmoor
Valet parking is available to all overnight guests. The charge is $16 per night. This fee is charged directly to the guest's room. Valet parking is also available to those guests coming in for the day to dine or shop at the Hotel. This is a complimentary, day service. Gratuities are at the guest's discretion.

The hotel offer self-parking available in the garage only. The charge to self-park for a 24 hour period is $14 per night, with in and out privileges. If a guest would like to self-park for the day, the charges are $4 for the first hour and $2 for each additional hour up to a maximum of $8 per day.

How many CAE hours do I receive for attending the Great Ideas Conference?
Fifteen hours for the full conference Sunday, March 7 – Tuesday, March 9, 2010.

What does my registration include?
Access to the General Sessions, Idea Labs and Sunday’s Broadmoor evening receptions.

What type of weather can I expect?
Attire for the Great Ideas Conference is business/resort casual. Colorado Springs has moderate temperatures with an average of 300 days of sunshine per year . The temperature for early March can range anywhere from a high of 45 to 60. We recommend you check the local forecast before you depart and dress in layers as the conference facilities will be heated and cooled accordingly.

Who attends the Great Ideas Conference?
Attendees are primarily from associations and other not-for-profit entities and tend to be sophisticated and well-educated. Partners who provide services to the association community will also be in attendance. Attendees represent all functional areas of association management —marketing, membership, professional development, communications, new product development, finance and business operations, information systems, etc.

Will I be refunded if I have to cancel my registration?
We’ll be sorry that you won’t be able to join us for this exceptional learning and networking experience! However, we understand that things happen so if you simply can’t attend, please notify us in writing by February 19, 2010. Refunds will be processed less a $75 administrative fee. No refunds will be made after February 19, 2010 or for no-shows. Cancellations may be submitted via e-mail to registration@asaecenter.org or via fax to 202-220-6480.

Substitutions may be made at any time. If you are unable to attend but someone else from your organization can attend in your place, please notify us in writing via e-mail at registration@asaecenter.org.

Will I receive confirmation of my registration?
A confirmation of your registration will be sent to you via e-mail immediately upon registering online or via phone. For registrations made with payment by check, please allow two weeks for processing; confirmation of registration will be sent via e-mail immediately upon processing. If you do not receive confirmation after 30 days, please do not hesitate to contact our service center at 202-371-0940 or 888-950-2723.
